Mobile access to everything online. Consumers “snacking” on content no matter where they are. Services available 24/7. There is a fundamental shift taking place in how consumers discover and purchase new products and services, and it’s changing everything for marketers. And yet 55% of marketers report they still don’t have an effective mobile marketing strategy. Even for those who might have a strategy, they lack adequate resources, staffing and expertise.

Do you know the best way to reach and engage your mobile audience? Do you know exactly what works and what doesn’t? The March SFAMA event brings together an expert panel of mobile marketers to discuss current trends and share best practices on how to leverage and optimize mobile platforms.

Join the SFAMA and your fellow marketers for another great evening of networking, sharing strategies and tactics, and a dynamic discussion with leading industry marketers.

Students must RSVP here for this event.

Founder and CEO, Vincent Ng, visits SF State to speak about his company and how they came to be so successful.

HALO is a San Francisco based company, started by two designers, with a goal of merging safety, fashion, and culture into an essential everyday product.

HALO was designed originally as a safety belt that can be used on a daily basis. “We wanted to create world’s first multi-purpose illuminating LED safety belt that also looks good. The great thing about HALO is, it looks like a ordinary everyday belt.”

Cycling – More often than not, bike lights are stolen off the bicycle itself and reflectors only show visibility when a light source is projected onto it. However, with the HALO, LED lighting emits through fiber optics utilizing a greater surface area of visibility. The HALO creates illumination with a simple design and it always stays on the owner because it acts as an ordinary belt.

However, the HALO isn’t only limited to biking. The HALO can be used in a variety of different ways, from changing a tire on the side of the road, jogging at night, crossing the street, or even as a fashion statement at parties/raves it’s overall purpose is for visibility. It can also be used as marketing promotions for different companies or sports teams.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

- How to market a product successfully

- Tips on starting a company

- Necessities of the industry

- Personal branding

… And many more!

There will also be a Q&A section afterwards, so have your questions ready. See you there!

Check out HALO belt’s website, or most recent Kickstarter.
